IVY'S WISH

A future engineer’s dream

16-year-old Ivy, who dreams of becoming an engineer, had the incredible opportunity to meet F1® aerodynamics expert, Willem Toet. From exploring cutting-edge race car technology to learning about aerodynamics firsthand, Ivy’s wish was a glimpse into the future she aspires to create.

“This time last year Ivy had just finished her treatment. To be able to come here and experience this as a family, it's really been an opportunity for Ivy to see what a future could look like and what an engineering career could lead to," said Sarah, Ivy’s mum.

He fought for his life, and today he’s enjoying his life, so it’s been just awesome!

JETT'S WISH

The ultimate VIP F1® experience

12-year-old Jett, a passionate motorsport fan, wished for an unforgettable VIP experience at the Australian Grand Prix™. He was given exclusive access to the Paddock, met some of his favourite drivers (including a fist-bump from Carlos Sainz!), and got an up-close look at the high-performance F1® cars during a garage tour. For Jett, this was more than just a weekend—it was the thrill of a lifetime.

“This has been an incredible experience for Jett. He has been through a lot during his leukaemia treatment and then a sepsis infection. He fought for his life, and today he’s enjoying his life, so it’s been just awesome," said Erin, Jett’s mum.

KAYNE'S WISH

Music & motorsport makes perfect wish formula

Kayne, who shares a deep love for both Formula 1® and music, wished to experience the Grand Prix™ with his family and meet some of his favourite drivers. Not only did he get to meet his favourite F1® drivers, Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, but Kayne also had the once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet Australian rock legends, The Living End.

The band gifted Kayne his very own guitar pics and invited him and his family to watch their show side of stage. For Kayne, the combination of fast cars and live music made this weekend an unforgettable celebration of his two greatest passions.

“It's been awesome! Make-A-Wish have done a really good job at providing this experience for me – it means so much. I have always loved F1® growing up and to finally be here, it’s an unreal experience that I will never forget," said Kayne.

I spent the past two years in and out of hospital for cancer treatment. So being able to take a flight with my family, to go on a trip and forget about everything and just have fun has been amazing.
