What inspired you to participate in this event? Why have you chosen to support Make-A-Wish? What are you asking your supporters to do? Adding a story informs supporters to donate, knowing what you’re trying to achieve.
Setting a higher goal can encourage supporters to donate more, so you’ll raise even more funds to help make wishes come true.
The more people you tell, the more money you can raise. Email your fundraising page link to friends, family and colleagues, and spread the word on social media.
At the end of your fundraising journey, remember to thank everyone who donated and let them know how much you raised. When you reply through your fundraising page, they’ll get an email saying there’s a special message awaiting them.

Hi <name>,
This year I’m taking part in the Noosa Tri to raise funds for Make-A-Wish® Australia. I’d love you to help make my fundraising a success by donating at [FUNDRAISING PAGE LINK].
The money I raise will help take kids on an uplifting wish journey as they fight critical illness.
These wishes not only transform the lives of critically ill children but they also have a lasting impact on their families – if you have time, read some amazing wish stories on www.makeawish.org.au/wishes.
I’m doing this event not only for my own sense of achievement, but to help make a positive difference to really sick children.
My goal is to raise [$TARGET], so any amount you can spare would be much appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your generosity and support!

Race Day FAQs
Athlete check-in is on Friday 3 November (9:00am - 7:00pm) & Saturday 4 November (9:30am - 4pm) in the Check-In Tent at Festival Village, Noosa Woods.
We need to see your Photo ID (Driver's Licence, Passport etc) to check you in and give you your race kit. While we love mates who look out for mates unfortunately you can’t check in on behalf of someone else. It’s illegal for someone else to compete under your name or for you to compete under someone else's name. This is for the safety of yourself and all competitors and it’s critical we know who is on the course at all times. Please make sure the right team members / individuals are listed on your entry - this can be changed at the Help Desk at Check-In.
In your race kit you will be issued:
- Race Bib Number (to be worn the run)
- Bike Seat Post Number Sticker
- Helmet Number Sticker
- Number tattoo (individual athletes and team runner only)
- ID Wristband (Teams will receive 3 wristbands, 1 for each team member)
- Timing Chip
- Coloured swim cap - latex
- Event Pack - containing ASICS event gear & sponsor giveaways
Please secure your ID wristband prior to leaving the check-in area on Friday or Saturday. This band will identify you as an official race competitor and must be worn at all times. The wristband is your means of access into transition over the weekend.
It is compulsory to use the Gear Bag provided. This facility is provided because bags cannot be stored in the Transition area. Please attach the gear bag number label located in your Race Kit to your bag before dropping it at Gear Drop. Please note that full care but no responsibility or liability is taken by IRONMAN.
All large bike pumps will be stored separately from your bag. Please use the pump label from your Race Kit to number your pump. Any gear left behind will be at Information until 3pm.

1500m oblong swim in the beautiful clear waters of Laguna Bay off iconic Noosa Main Beach. Athletes will swim in an anti-clockwise direction with the first turn buoy at 610 metres, with swimmers completing three left hand turns and a right turn before returning to shore. Be sure not to be too distracted by the local sea turtles!
Bike Course
40km out and back giving you just a taste of the lush Noosa hinterland. You'll get a unique chance to take in all that the Noosa area Has to offer. .The course features the infamous 2km Garmin Hill Climb 10km into the ride, you'll need to use your leg power here!
ASICS Run Course
10km of fast and flat roads along Noosa Parade, with the crowds cheering you on all the way to the finish line. 5 Aid stations out on the course will keep you well hydrated and get you to the famous Noosa Tri Blue Carpet finish line.
Wave times are usually released 1-2 weeks out. Once released share these with people. All competitors will receive their swim cap in their race kit (which you collect at Athlete Check-In). Please check that your swim cap colour reflects the colour of your rolling category start group.
The Noosa Triathlon will once again feature a Rolling Category Wave Start. Athletes will seed themselves within their respective category or age group, based on their projected swim times.
Within each rolling category start there will be 4 Start Zones. You can avoid being overtaken by stronger swimmers by seeding yourself with athletes of a similar skill and ability level.
The four Start Zones are:
Zone 1 - Under 28 minutes
Zone 2 - Between 28 - 31 minutes
Zone 3 - Between 31 - 35 minutes
Zone 4 - Over 35 minutes
Please use the 2023 Swim starts as a guide: 2023-INDV-Swim-Start-PDF-Copy-1.pdf (noosatri.com.au)
*Starting times are subject to change.
** 2024 swim starts will be released 2 weeks pre-event
Bike Racking for Individuals and Teams is Saturday 4 November (10.00am - 4:30pm).
To enter transition your bike must display your seat post sticker, and you must wear your corresponding ID wristband found in your Race Kit (which you collect at Check-In).
Your bike will be visually inspected by AusTriathlon officials. This is not a guarantee of safety. Competitors are responsible for their bikes being in safe working order. You should ensure your bike, as well as your helmet, is in safe working order before presenting to transition.
Security will be on duty Saturday night and Sunday morning. It’s a good idea to take a photo of where you’re bike is racked in transition or add a colour ribbon to your bike. The end of the racks will be numbered.Bike Racking for Individuals and Teams is Saturday 4 November (10.00am - 4:30pm).

Teams Transition
The teams transition will be open from 4:45am on Sunday morning. Access to the teams transition area will be from the outside of the Individual transition at the southern end of transition. All team members must have their ID wristband on to access the transition area, where the team changeover will happen. All team swimmers must be at the swim start by 8:45am. Only team cyclists should remain in the team transition from 9:00am. We must ensure teams transition is as clear as possible during race times for the safety of all competitors.
A team swimmer must not remove the timing band until within the transition area. The team cyclist must remain in their position in transition with their bike racked until the swimmer has tagged the cyclist and the cyclist has the timing chip secure around their LEFT ankle.
Once returned to transition the team cyclist must rack their bike before the runner can leave on the run leg. Team runners must wait in the team cyclist’s bike rack position. Remember to take the timing band off the cyclist and secure it to your ankle before exiting transition. The runner will wear the timing chip from the time they leave transition until they cross the finish line.
The cyclist must ensure the Bike and Helmet stickers are placed securely in their correct positions. The runner only must clearly display the race number on their front at all times for the run leg.
Recommend they watch you go into and the swim and hang around for you to come out of the water. They’ll miss you going out on the bike but then they can see you come back on the bike, go out and come back on the run.
The finish area will offer the full post-race experience; where you can relax, immerse into the atmosphere, appreciate a well-earned massage, refuel, and enjoy celebrating your achievement.
As you cross the finish line you will be directed to the recovery area where Volunteers will be on hand to take off your timing chip.
There will be medical personnel available if you require treatment, otherwise you will be able to proceed to the recovery area where there will be water, electrolyte and fruit available.
This is an athlete only area and family members will need to wait outside of the recovery area.
